Round 1 Almir pressures his opponent into clinching. A knee to the midsection by Begovic is seamlessly followed by a large wheel throw that puts Tosya under Begovics side mount. Semyonov takes a few knees to the body while under Begovics side control. Almir attempts an armbar, but Semyonov stops the attempt. Almir uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Tosya Semyonov shifts his head and hips to keep Begovic off balance and unable to land strikes. Semyonov bucks Almir off and sweeps him over getting into his half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Begovic lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Almir Begovic lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Tosya. Tosya connects with a series of punches forcing Almir Begovic into a clinch. Semyonov takes Almir Begovics back standing. Semyonov lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Almir Begovic is able to work his way back around. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Begovic uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Almir connects with a jab cross combination. Almir Begovic throws a push kick. Semyonov shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Begovics nose.
Semyonov connects with a hard punch making Almir Begovic bring him in to a tight clinch. Tosya Semyonov works Almir into the cage from the clinch. Tosya Semyonov presses his head under Begovics chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Semyonov takes Almirs back standing. Semyonov lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Almir is able to work his way back around. Semyonov attempts a violent throw but Begovic holds back and quickly pounces on his back. The bell signals the end of round 3.
