Voskresensky works Bingwen Wu into the cage from the clinch. Voskresensky presses his head under Bingwen Wus chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Wu lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Yasha Voskresensky for a trip takedown. Yasha Voskresensky is able to pull a switch mid-trip and lands in Bingwen Wus half guard. Voskresensky hits Bingwen Wu with some punches to the side of the head. Voskresensky presses his foot onto the thigh of Bingwen Wu to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Yasha Voskresensky connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Voskresensky throws a crisp jab, but Bingwen slips it and moves in for the clinch. Wu works to Yashas back while standing. Wu throws a couple of outside shots until Yasha Voskresensky is able to work his way back to the clinch. Bingwen Wu keeps Yasha off balance and uses a large outer wheel trip to take side control. Yasha almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Bingwen Wu throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Voskresensky works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Bingwen places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. The bell signals the end of round 3.
