Round 1 Tereshchenko connects with a series of punches forcing Tsuruya into a clinch. A knee to the midsection by Semyon is seamlessly followed by a large wheel throw that puts Kenji Tsuruya under Tereshchenkos side mount. Tereshchenko attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from "Tojo Apeman" for his troubles. Kenji is wisely defending a kimura. Semyon attempts to take it but Kenji is having none of it, though Semyon has used the chance the slide into mount. Tsuruya attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Kenji Tsuruya attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Tereshchenko throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Tsuruya is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Tsuruya attempts a striking combination, but Semyon forces the clinch. Tsuruya receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Semyon Tereshchenko. Tereshchenko reaches over the shoulder of "Tojo Apeman" and sets in a kimura. He rolls it over but has to release the hold, landing in half guard. "Tojo Apeman" tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Tsuruya sweeps Semyon over and into his half guard. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Tereshchenko throws a crisp jab, but "Tojo Apeman" slips it and moves in for the clinch. Semyon takes "Tojo Apemans" back standing. Semyon lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Kenji Tsuruya is able to work his way back around. From the clinch, Semyon Tereshchenko hurls Kenji over his hips dropping him hard to the mat. Semyon Tereshchenko is able to get into half guard. Kenji Tsuruya holds the head of Semyon close to avoid shots. Semyon slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Semyon Tereshchenko rains a flurry of strikes down on Kenji. The ref dives in to stop it.
