Round 1 Shui Jin throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Yevgeni Samoylov. Samoylov eats a strong cross as Shui Jin moves into the clinch. Shui Jin is jockeying for position in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Samoylov receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "Ying Tao". Shui takes Yevgenis back standing. Yevgeni begins to isolate an arm but Shui executes a trip which puts him in half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Yevgeni hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Shui Jin eats a strong cross as Samoylov moves into the clinch. Yevgeni Samoylov receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Shui Jin. Shui Jin uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown. Shui Jin tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Yevgeni Samoylov pops his head under the arm of Shui reaches down and grabs the foot. Wrenches up for a calf lock. Shui rolls out of the attempt. Yevgeni Samoylov dives into guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 "Ying Tao" throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. A rising hip toss puts Yevgeni Samoylov under Shui Jins side control. Yevgeni almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Shui slides his knee across the body of Yevgeni Samoylov and takes full mount. Jin secures his position. Yevgeni pulls "Ying Tao" close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Round 3 comes to a close.
