Marcelo attempts a takedown from the clinch, but "Swashbuckler" pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Rube parries Marcelo Huertas jab and connect with a cross. "Swashbuckler" parries Marcelo Huertas jab and connect with a cross. A wild hook from Huerta is ducked by Gagnon who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. A lazy leg kick from Huerta is caught by Gagnon who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Huerta. Rube lays into Marcelos thighs with some well timed kicks while Marcelo Huerta is grounded. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Marcelo Huerta eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Gagnon. Gagnon shoots a takedown from a distance putting Marcelo Huerta on the ground. Rube Gagnon dodges a few strikes from Huerta and cuts him over his eye with a axe-handle strike. Huerta is starting to bleed over his left eye. "Swashbuckler" takes advantage of a mental laps from Marcelo and moves into full mount. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Gagnon lands a double jab. Huerta parries "Swashbucklers" jab and connect with a cross. Marcelo Huerta eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Rube. Gagnon attempts to press in on Marcelo but is met with powerful inside-leg kicks. Gagnon is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Marcelo Huerta presses forward landing a couple more strikes and a final elbow that knocks Gagnon out.
