Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Al Reed is defended well by AJ. Al Reed grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Al Reed returns to the clinch. Reed escapes the clinch and creates some distance. AJ Mitchell lands a outside leg kick that causes Al to back up. Al Reed chips away at Mitchell with a series of kicks to the legs. Al circles AJ Mitchell, landing jabs at will. AJ Mitchell parries a jab but is caught by a sweeping leg kick that sends him to the floor. Al attempts to drop a fist on AJ, but misses and lands in his guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 AJ Mitchell strikes with a straight front kick. AJ gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Mitchell carefully protects himself from Als strikes. AJ slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. AJ strikes with a straight front kick. AJ Mitchell lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Al. AJ Mitchell then switch kicks Al on the opposing rib. AJ lands a solid kick to the front leg of Al Reed. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 After dodging a jab-cross, AJ Mitchell lands a kick to the liver of Al who steps back and begins to take a knee. AJ Mitchell rushes forward to capitalize but Al stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Mitchell lands a solid kick to the front leg of Reed. Al connects with a right that puts AJ Mitchell off balance tumbling to the mat, as Al towers over him. Reed lays into AJs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. AJ Mitchell does so. Mitchell begins a combination but Al ducks down, picking AJ Mitchells leg. Al lifts AJ Mitchells leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. AJ thrusts his leg into Reeds knee while grounded. Al lays into AJs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Mitchell does so. Reed lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles AJ. Al Reed unleashes a flurry of punches ending with AJ Mitchell out cold from a right hook.
