Round 1 Jon snaps back the head of Derrell Grenier with a stiff jab. Jon parries Derrell Greniers jab and connect with a cross. Grenier attempts a lazy shot, which McConomy sprawls, eventually taking Grenier back. McConomy tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "Exercitus" starts to wiggle out of back control, McConomy lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Derrell throws a cross that easily dodged by Jon. Jon McConomy blocks a few strikes and moves in delivering a powerful belly-to-belly slam that knocks the wind out of Grenier. Grenier rolls avoid strikes to the face and Jon McConomy takes advantage taking Derrells back. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Jon McConomy circles Derrell Grenier, mixing jabs with body shots. Jon snaps back the head of "Exercitus" with a stiff jab. Derrell Grenier throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from McConomy puts Derrell Grenier on the mat giving his back up. McConomy tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "Exercitus" slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Jon parries "Exercituss" jab and connect with a cross. Grenier takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Derrell fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Jon McConomy. Grenier works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Derrell Grenier recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. The fighters circle each other. Jon throws a cross that easily dodged by Derrell. Jon eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Derrell Grenier. Jon attempts a takedown but slips, and "Exercitus" backs away. "Exercitus" is standing over Jon. "Exercitus" lays into Jon McConomys thighs with some well timed kicks while Jon is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 3.
