Round 1 Angus Cross feints and follows up with a hard cross. Beaton stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Cross gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Cross carefully protects himself from Hunters strikes. Angus is able to make it back to the standing position. Hunter throws a hard jab but Angus Cross throws a cross right over the top rocking Hunter. Angus dances around the cage avoiding any exchanges. The referee calls a halt to the contest to verbally warn Angus. Angus Cross connects with a hard right hand putting Beaton on the mat. Angus Cross goes down with him into side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Angus slips a cross from Beaton and lands jab cross to the body. Cross throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Beaton is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. The fighters circle each other. Beaton throws a push kick. Angus shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Hunters nose.
Beaton is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Angus Cross. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Hunter Beaton ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Angus Cross to the mat, and his back. Angus tries to explode out the backdoor but Hunter Beaton sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Angus falls flat to protect himself. Angus Cross starts to wiggle out of back control, Hunter Beaton lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Hunter Beaton executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting Cross to the mat, and Hunter Beaton into side control. Hunter slides his knee across the body of Angus and takes full mount. Angus Cross attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Cross gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Angus Cross parries Hunter Beatons jab and lands a hook. Cross fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Hunter Beaton quickly takes his back. Angus carefully protects himself from Hunter Beatons strikes. Cross starts to wiggle out of back control, Hunter Beaton lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Cross lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. Hunter connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Beaton gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Beaton tries to hyperextend the knee of Angus with a kick to the kneecap. Angus hops back to avoid it. Beaton reaches down and trips Angus Cross with a beautiful ankle pick. Beaton dives into side control. Angus takes a few knees to the body while under Hunters side control. Angus Cross gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Hunter tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Beaton begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Cross rolls to being mounted instead. Round 5 comes to a close.
